ABOUT THE TEAM
Anduril’s Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) team is seeking NixOS engineers to build the core infrastructure we use to develop, build, and deploy cutting edge software. As an Embedded NixOS Engineer, you’ll be responsible for EW team’s software supply chain, build out the tools we use to target downstream software environments, perform NixOS bringup on our state-of-the-art hardware designs, and play a key role in the successful employment of our EW technology. You’ll collaborate with industry leaders in mechanical, electrical, RF, FPGA, and functional programming software design to deliver the next generation of EW capabilities to our end users. You’ll do this while rubbing elbows with some of the top minds in the NixOS ecosystem, tapping many decades of collective experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with electrical and FPGA engineers to bring up NixOS on our hardware platforms.
- Implement build and deployment infrastructure for EW teams’s software pipeline.
- Shape our build, deployment, and CI/CD roadmaps to streamline the delivery of capabilities to customers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience debugging custom hardware(might need reword here, just mean someone who has troubleshot custom electrical PCBs).
- Experience with enterprise build and deployment systems.
- Experience with image building infrastructure for embedded Linux systems.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience (professional or in the setting of an open source community) working with Nix/NixOS/Nixpkgs.
- Experience (professional or in the setting of an open source community) working with typed functional programming languages (Haskell, Scala, F#, OCaml, Rust, etc.)
- Experience with designing and bringing AArch64 Embedded Linux products to market.
- Experience with custom hardware drivers.
- Experience with Linux kernel module development.
- Experience with FPGA development.
- Experience with MATLAB, especially C code generation.
US Salary Range
$168,000—$290,000 USD
