Job Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the product vision and roadmap for assigned products or capabilities, aligned with broader product and platform strategy.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, data/analytics, and design (as applicable), to deliver product enhancements and new capabilities.
  • Translate business needs and client requirements into clear functional, technical, and analytical product requirements.
  • Gather and interpret relevant product, customer, and operational data from multiple sources to inform prioritization and product decisions.
  • Apply data analysis, metrics, and visualization outputs to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to product performance and customer outcomes.
  • Prioritize product features, enhancements, and backlog items based on business value, customer impact, feasibility, risk, and data insights.
  • Clearly communicate product direction, insights, and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and clients.
  • Partner with engineering and delivery teams to define scope, delivery plans, timelines, and effort estimates.
  • Contribute input to requirements, statements of work, and delivery planning while partnering with leadership on budgeting and resourcing decisions.
  • Establish and use tools and processes to facilitate effective communication and collaboration across product and delivery teams.
  • Work with internal and external customers to identify unmet needs and inform product decisions and backlog prioritization.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure product requirements and delivery align with applicable healthcare, life sciences, data privacy, and regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, GxP where applicable).
  • Track and monitor product-level success metrics such as adoption, usability, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness, using data insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support Associate Product Managers and junior team members within the product organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Information Systems, Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience managing the execution and delivery of software, technology-enabled, or data-enabled products in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.

Product & Delivery

  • Strong ability to translate complex business problems into clear product requirements.
  • Solid understanding of product development lifecycles and agile or iterative delivery methodologies.
  • Experience using roadmap, issue, and backlog management systems to plan, prioritize, and deliver product work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Data & Analytical Literacy

  • Strong comfort working in data-informed product environments, including the ability to interpret product metrics, trends, and performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with statistical concepts, data visualization techniques, and analytical tools used to assess product performance.
  • Working knowledge of databases and data querying concepts (e.g., SQL) sufficient to partner effectively with analytics and engineering teams; hands-on expertise not required.
  • Ability to use data and insights to support prioritization, tradeoff decisions, and outcome measurement.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX, data, and analytics, as appropriate to the product.
  • Experience leveraging modern design and AI-enabled tools to accelerate product discovery and prototyping, and collaborating with UX designers when deeper design expertise is required.
  • Strong ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and data insights to non-technical audiences and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
