The Opportunity: Credit Analyst, NIRA
We’re hiring a Credit Analyst to support the growth and risk management of Tilt’s India lending business, NIRA Finance. This role focuses on shaping credit policy, analyzing portfolio performance, and partnering with data science and technology teams to enable scalable, data-driven lending decisions.
This is a high-impact role with strong ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to influence how credit decisions are made at scale in a fast-growing fintech environment.
How you'll make an impact
Develop and refine credit policies to support business growth and risk objectives.
Analyze portfolio performance and generate actionable insights through data.
Partner with Data Science, Technology, and Product teams to translate insights into execution.
Monitor risk metrics and benchmark performance against industry standards.
Collaborate with NIRA leadership and external lending partners to drive responsible lending outcomes.
Share learnings and best practices with global credit and data teams.
Why you’re a great fit
4+ years of experience in unsecured retail credit risk, with strong exposure to personal loan portfolios (India market experience preferred).
Proven experience in portfolio analytics, risk monitoring, and performance tracking across the credit lifecycle.
Hands-on experience designing and working with digital credit policies, underwriting rules, and risk frameworks for unsecured lending products.
Experience collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to translate credit strategies into scalable decisioning systems and automated underwriting workflows.
Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in SQL (mandatory), Python, and Excel for credit analysis, portfolio deep dives, cohort analysis, and risk reporting.
Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to clearly document credit proposals, risk frameworks, and analytical insights, and effectively operate in asynchronous work environments.
