About Overview.ai
Automation is a defining priority for manufacturers today. Automating quality inspection is one of the highest-impact ways this is happening; it directly affects yield, scrap rates, throughput, and whether production survives. Vision systems have been around for decades, but traditional competitors don’t do true AI well. Their systems are rigid, require extensive programming, and struggle with the complexity of modern manufacturing.
That’s changing now. Overview’s edge-enabled AI vision devices handle assembly verification, defect detection, and orientation checks with accuracy that wasn’t possible before. They integrate into existing production lines at speed, and customers see results on day one: higher yield, lower scrap, fewer escapes, faster throughput. This technology is new. The old rules don’t apply. The people who help define how this gets built and deployed will shape the next decade of manufacturing.
Overview exists to catch every manufacturing defect in the world.
About the Role
This is a foundational role with a clear path toward expanded ownership and people leadership. This role sits at the intersection of technical depth, customer relationships, and market-building impact. We’re expanding Overview’s presence in Mexico and are looking for someone who can both execute in the field today and grow into a leadership role as the region scales.
This is a field-first role based in Mexico, with priority location in Monterrey. You’ll spend 60–80% of your time on factory floors across Northern and Central Mexico, supporting early customers, identifying high-impact use cases, and ensuring successful production deployments.
You’ll operate with high autonomy: no scripts, no hand-holding. You’ll be trusted to ask the right questions, make technical and commercial judgment calls in messy environments, and move projects forward when information is incomplete. With support from Overview engineers, you’ll become the technical expert customers rely on.
As the Mexico team grows, this role is expected to take on mentorship and people leadership responsibilities, helping onboard and develop future VSEs in the region.
What You’ll Do
Help establish Overview’s go-to-market motion in Mexico, including early wins and reference accounts
Own customer success end-to-end: from first conversation through production deployment
Lead technical discovery, live demos, onsite evaluations, and troubleshooting on factory floors
Identify and drive high-impact inspection opportunities toward scaled deployments
Provide feedback from the field to influence product and deployment strategy
Support the onboarding and development of future team members as the regions grows.
Who You Are
Proven experience operating in demanding industrial environments, ideally with vision systems, robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing technologies
Comfortable on factory floors; you don’t hesitate to get hands-on with equipment, debug issues, and support live production
Energized by ambiguity, pressure, and fast-moving environments
See 60–80% travel across Mexico as an opportunity to build expertise and long-term customer relationships
Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Applications Engineer, Field Engineer, Vision Engineer, Robotics Engineer, Automation Engineer, etc.)
Able to run technical discovery conversations, identify pain points, and translate them into clear deployment plans
Bring an engineering mindset with strong systems thinking and structured problem-solving
Communicate clearly in Spanish and English (professional working level)
Motivated by growth: both personal and organizational, and excited to help build and scale Overview’s presence in Mexico from an early stage
What We Offer
Competitive base salary
Sales commission uncapped
All-expenses-paid trips to customer locations
Remote work
Opportunities for career growth in a rapidly evolving industry.
Supportive and dynamic work environment.
Why This Role Is Exciting
You’ll help open and grow the Mexico market for a category-defining AI product transforming manufacturing, with work that directly impacts yield, scrap, throughput, and quality at leading plants. This is a deeply hands-on role in live production environments, and your field insights will directly shape what we build next!
