Production Control Scheduler (Starlink Satellites)
A Production Control Scheduler is needed to work across departments to resolve schedule impacts, prepare schedules, and ensure efficient production.

PRODUCTION CONTROL SCHEDULER (STARLINK SATELLITES)
At SpaceX we’re leveraging our experience in building rockets and spacecraft to deploy Starlink, the world’s most advanced broadband internet system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work across all departments to understand critical work requests ahead and behind targets and drive resolution to mitigate schedule impact risks
- Work across all departments to ensure MRP dates align with current vehicle products and correct signals as necessary
- Create and leverage metrics using queries and other reporting/visualization tools to highlight shortages, determine schedule risks, and own driving resolution
- Prepare daily work schedules, track work progress, update and communicate project critical path schedules, and advise leadership of needed adjustments to daily work activities
- Prepare and lead interdisciplinary clear to build meetings and resolve short term shortages and forecast future supply challenges.
- Ensure fixture, tooling, and test equipment requirements are properly scheduled to facilitate an efficient production process
- Build strong relationships with customers as well as internal/external suppliers and establish high-accuracy means of communication for both estimated hardware needs and completion dates
- Lead efforts to uncover root-cause and develop permanent resolution on issues found during product builds as required
- Utilize production, operations planning, and engineering support to eliminate internal and external blockers to deliver product on time
- Map and analyze current vs. ideal state material flows
- Take complete ownership of production scheduling for a given production work center, including managing both tactical day-to-day tasks as well as projecting long-term high-level rate needs for the department
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or 2 + years of manufacturing scheduling, planning or operations experience
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external supplier/customer relationships in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
- Technical knowledge and skills in coding and computer applications (e.g. MS Office Suite, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI, etc.)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lead times, and capacity planning
- Strong data analysis skills for optimizing workflows and resource allocation
- Practical experience with ERP/MRP systems in a production or supply chain environment
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams working on strategic problems
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be available for all shifts, extended hours, and/or weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
- Must be able to stand for extended periods - 8 hours minimum
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range: Production Control Scheduler /Level I: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00/per year Production Control Scheduler /Level II: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX. Company shuttles are offered to employees for roundtrip travel from select Seattle locations to the SpaceX Redmond office Monday to Friday.
