Experience Integration Specialist

At Lilly, we unite caring with discovery to make life better for people around the world. We are a global healthcare leader headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana. Our employees around the world work to discover and bring life-changing medicines to those who need them, improve the understanding and management of disease, and give back to our communities through philanthropy and volunteerism. We give our best effort to our work, and we put people first. We’re looking for people who are determined to make life better for people around the world.

About the Role As Eli Lilly accelerates its mission to improve patient lives, our Personalization function is evolving to provide the best in any class consumer experiences. Personalization at Lilly works because the right data reaches the right system at the right moment. The Experience Integration Specialist makes that happen. Sitting within the Personalization COE, this role is the deliberate bridge between the team that builds and publishes Lilly's brand web properties and the team that personalizes them. You will ensure that every personalization use case is technically feasible before build begins, that tagging and schema decisions are made upstream with repeatability in mind, and that the web infrastructure is ready to receive and render personalized experiences correctly. This is a role for someone who thinks in systems, communicates across functions, and understands that sustainable personalization is built on standards and best practices. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Journey Decomposition Decompose incoming personalization use cases into discrete, platform-executable requirements across audience, channel (AJO Email, AJO Web, Adobe Target), content variation logic, decisioning rules, and measurement instrumentation. Drive alignment on trigger conditions, suppression logic, audience qualification method, decisioning scope, and the data layer events required to trigger and report on each use case Identify profile completeness gaps, schema misalignments, or missing identity stitching at decomposition stage — before execution begins — and route upstream to the Platform pillar. Build and maintain an Experience Pattern Library: a catalogue of decomposed journey archetypes that enables the COE to configure new use cases faster by referencing proven patterns. Define XDM schema requirements at the point of use case decomposition — field groups, custom fields, event types, and computed attributes — ensuring forward compatibility with the COE's broader personalization roadmap. Govern the tagging taxonomy and Web SDK / Adobe Launch data layer specifications required across web touchpoints for real-time AJO triggering and CJA attribution analysis. Specify identity stitching approaches per use case —sequencing, and profile completeness requirements — to prevent identity fragmentation from becoming a launch blocker. Champion repeatability: every technical decision for one use case should become the standard that makes the next use case faster to deliver. Personalization Centre of Excellence COE–Web Team Integration Represent the Personalization team in Web team planning cycles — ensuring personalization requirements (data layer events, component flexibility, identity capture hooks) are built into web properties from the outset. Translate COE use case requirements into web-executable specifications the Web team can act on without bespoke engineering per campaign. Bring Web team constraints (CMS structure, publishing timelines, template limitations) back into COE intake early — adjusting use case design before build investment is made. Define and govern shared operating standards between COE and Web: data layer versioning, tagging change management, QA handoff protocols, and MLR/compliance review touchpoints. Maintain a shared roadmap view identifying where web publishing changes intersect with live personalization activities. Measurement Enablement Define reporting and measurement requirements at decomposition — every experience instrumented for analysis from day one, not reverse-engineered post-launch. Specify CJA connection points, calculated metrics, and attribution windows per use case in partnership with the COE Journey Analytics Specialist. ──────────────────────────────────────── REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 10+ years in digital marketing, marketing technology, or customer experience design with a track record of translating complex requirements into platform-executable specifications. Deep hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Platform — AJO (Email and Web), Adobe Target, Real-Time CDP, and CJA. You have configured journeys, not just designed them. XDM schema fluency: field groups, event vs. profile schemas, computed attributes, and the downstream impact on segmentation, journey triggering, and reporting. Tagging and data layer architecture experience: Adobe Launch/Tags, Web SDK, ECID-based identity resolution, and event-driven data layer design. Experience working in regulated industries (Pharma, Healthcare) where MLR/compliance, data governance, and privacy-by-design are non-negotiable upstream requirements. Proven ability to work across two distinct functional teams — translating requirements in both directions without losing accountability on either side. Dual fluency across business and technology: equally comfortable presenting to a brand team and working through XDM schema design with a solution architect. ──────────────────────────────────────── PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience within a Personalization or MarTech COE — familiarity with centralized governance, pattern library management, and scaled personalization delivery. Hands-on experience with AJO decisioning — Next Best Action / Next Best Offer, offer eligibility rules, and decision management. Experience with pharma omnichannel audiences — Consumer/Patient (DTC), HCP, and Medical — and their distinct compliance and engagement requirements. Adobe certification in AJO, RT-CDP, CJA, or Adobe Target. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing Technology, Digital Experience Design, Computer Science, or a related field. #WeAreLilly
