Instructional Designer, Academy
Design and develop educational content, collaborate with SMEs, and ensure high-quality learning experiences for the Academy.
The Instructional Designer will join our Experience Team to create engaging educational content for our Academy.
Collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and video production specialists, this individual will design and develop diverse learning assets, including video-based microlearning modules and multimedia content for certifications.
The Instructional Designer will play a key role in driving customer engagement and success through our Academy's world-class educational offerings.
In this role you’ll:
Design and develop instructional content for our Academy, ranging from short, video-based microlearning modules to longer, multi-format certifications.
Collaborate with SMEs to gather and structure content that aligns with customer needs and learning objectives.
Leverage tools like Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, and Synthesia to create high-quality, scalable learning experiences.
Ensure all content is pedagogically sound, visually appealing, and adheres to accessibility standards.
Analyze learner feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve content effectiveness.
Assist in managing content delivery within our LMS (Thought Industries) and ensure a seamless user experience.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in instructional design, technology, and customer education.
We’re looking for candidates who have:
Proven experience as an instructional designer or in a similar role, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of instructional design projects, including video, text-based, and multimedia content.
Proficiency with Articulate Rise and/or Storyline; experience with Synthesia or similar tools is a plus.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS); experience with Thought Industries is a bonus.
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with SMEs and cross-functional teams.
A solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple complex projects at one time
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality content.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, with a proven track record of creating effective learning experiences designing impactful learning solutions for employees at all levels, and ensuring alignment with company priorities and values, is essential.
