About the Role
The Instacart Business team is in a hyper-growth stage, and we are looking for a world-class Senior Strategic Partner Associate to shape and scale the outbound engine for Instacart Business as a critical driver of revenue. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of mid-sized and enterprise customers, applying a consultative approach to drive growth and foster long-term partnerships. You will play a pivotal role in building actionable strategies, activating new partners, leading cross-functional initiatives, and managing client relationships to deliver value across the broader supply chain.
Core responsibilities include driving key business insights, recommending and implementing scalable growth strategies, and assisting in the development of sales strategies. You will also oversee operational processes, project manage internal and external stakeholders, and develop go-to-market strategies in collaboration with Product, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and Operations teams. Additionally, you will identify feature gaps within the platform and help shape improvements to enable distributors and brands to thrive.

About the Job
- Partnership Development: Engage with top-tier decision makers to position Instacart as a trusted advisor and preferred partner, delivering tailored solutions that meet their unique business needs.
- Strategic Account Management: Optimize existing partnerships through strategic oversight and robust day to day account management practices to maximize value and foster long-term growth.
- Drive Sales Execution: Execute the entire sales process from setting commercials, managing contacting, strategic planning, deal closure, and activation.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across product development, marketing, legal, and operations to sync business needs with our capabilities, ensuring seamless delivery and innovation.
- Data-Driven Strategies: Leverage analytics to inform decisions and adapt strategies to better meet the demands and challenges faced by large-scale partners.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Address diverse and ambiguous challenges by uncovering creative solutions through the use of new ideas, tools, and perspectives, while fostering adaptability and collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven Experience: 5-7 years of experience in account management, or business development. Startup and b2b sales experience is preferred but not necessary. Solid History of achieving and surpassing goals & sales/growth targets in the technology, grocery, or retail sectors.
- Strategic Sales Skills: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies that profoundly impact the business trajectory.
- Exceptional Communication: Skilled in articulating complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders. Ability to create succinct and structured presentations capable of telling a story and engaging C-level executives.
- Adaptability and Drive: Thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, showing adaptability and a commitment to achieve. Self starter and solution-oriented problem solver who can chart a course with limited direction. Can manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously and hit deliverables with minimal direction
- Negotiation Mastery: Expertise in sealing the deal, characterized by strong negotiation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with excel, ppt, CRM systems like Salesforce and adept at conducting data analysis for pipeline building and segmentation. Experience with large data sets and ability to extract business insights from analysis
- Startup Experience: Background in fast-paced, early staged, innovation-driven company settings where agile and responsive strategies are a norm.
Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
