People Operations Associate
Astranis has grown from under 100 to 450+ people in three years and we're not slowing down. This position is at the center of supporting that growth. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience across the full People Operations stack, and have a front row seat to a multi-billion dollar company scaling its people infrastructure through critical growth phases.
We're seeking a versatile People Operations Associate with a passion for process and a drive to create an exceptional employee experience. Our ideal candidate is someone who is energized by hands-on operational work and wants to build real People Operations experience at a company that is moving quickly.
Associate roles are a minimum 12 week engagement with a high-impact runway and opportunities for extension. This role is ideal for those who want to jump start their career in people operations.
Role
- Support and execute essential People Operations processes such as onboarding, learning & development, and employee engagement.
- Execute critical data migration and reconciliation projects across People systems, playing a direct role in building the operational reliability needed to support long-term scalability.
- Develop and maintain internal documentation, policies, training content, and resources to support People Team operations.
- Build and maintain cross-functional relationships that help translate operational insights into effective process improvements across the organization.
- Support the development and maintenance of compliance processes across People systems ensuring scalability with evolving regulatory requirements. .
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of experience in a People Operations, HR, or a related administrative or operational role.
- Familiarity with People systems (e.g., HRIS, ATS, LMS).
- Energized by bringing order to chaos and don't shy away from hands-on, repetitive work when that's what the team needs to move forward.
- Clear communicator with strong process-thinking skills.
- Highly organized, with ability to effectively manage multiple work priorities while delivering operations solutions.
- Able to be onsite 5 days/week at our San Francisco headquarters, where we design, build, and test our satellites.
Bonus
- Experience ensuring People systems meet audit and regulatory standards, with working knowledge of Federal and California employment law.
- Experience in project coordination or process improvement.
- Experience with implementing or transitioning HRIS systems.
- Experience working within People systems (Paylocity and Tangelo.ai preferred).
- An interest in learning and development program management.
The base salary for this position is $1,750 per week.
