PRIMARY OBJECTIVESThe primary responsibilities of this post is to ensure customer needs are adequately met and exceeded, to ensure that specific departments are adequately stocked and appropriately merchandised and the stock as reflected by the operating system is accurate.
KEY FUNCTIONS
Assist customers and generate additional sales by upselling and cross-selling
Provide service excellence.
Arrange and display goods on the sales floor to facilitate easy, speedy and safe access
Merchandising
Effectively order goods from the warehouse and other retail floors
Respond to customers’ inquiries, complaints and product queries
Provide product knowledge on the use of electrical items
Ensure products are examined tested before purchase
Assist with stock take
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
Five CXC passes at General proficiency level including Mathematics and English Language
Associate Degree OR Certificate and or experience in electrical installation
At least one (1) year sales experience in a retail environment
Computer literate in at least Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and working knowledge of Counterpoint SQL would be an asset
Ability to act independently while performing required tasks
Ability to use tact and courtesy at all times
Good written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with other employees
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to coordinate activities between different locations
Ability to get individual and group tasks completed efficiently and on a timely basis.
