Head of Finance
Confido is the AI infrastructure powering CPG brands from deduction to production plan. We unify cash application, deductions, disputes, trade promotion management, forecasting, demand planning, and analytics in one integrated platform. The result: measurable time savings, smarter top- and bottom-line decisions, and the speed to scale.
Confido is trusted by 200+ brands managing $20B+ in revenue, including OLIPOP, Simple Mills, Dr. Squatch, Tropicana, and more.
We’ve achieved best-in-class growth and recently raised a $15M Series A led by Footwork Ventures and Y Combinator to accelerate our momentum.
We’re hiring a strategic, hands-on Head of Finance to build and own Confido’s financial strategy, planning, and operating cadence.
This is a strategic finance role first. You will oversee our outsourced accounting firm and ensure clean reporting and strong controls, but your primary mandate is forecasting, capital allocation, SaaS metrics, pricing strategy, and board partnership.
You will serve as the connective tissue between data and decision-making, turning numbers into insight, insight into action, and action into compounding growth.
You’ll partner directly with the CEO and leadership team to shape company strategy, manage capital efficiently, and build a finance function that scales through our next stages of growth. Over time, you will determine when to bring accounting in-house and hire a Controller.
Location: This role is based in our New York headquarters and requires in-person collaboration five days per week.
Compensation: Base salary between $180,000 and $230,000 + Benefits + Equity (.25% - .35%)
What You’ll Do
Own company-wide financial strategy, forecasting, and long-range planning
Build and maintain a clean, integrated financial model across revenue, headcount, operating spend, and cash runway
Define and track the 5–7 core metrics that anchor decision-making and investor communication (ARR, NRR, CAC, CAC payback, gross margin, burn multiple, contribution margin)
Establish a disciplined financial operating rhythm: monthly reporting, forecast updates, KPI dashboards, and budget accountability
Partner with Sales and Product to align financial forecasts with pipeline, pricing, packaging, and roadmap strategy
Drive capital allocation decisions across hiring, GTM investment, and product development
Improve capital efficiency and optimize burn multiple as the company scales
Own board-ready financial materials, investor reporting, and fundraising support
Oversee outsourced accounting, audit, tax, and compliance; build scalable infrastructure and determine the right timing to hire a Controller and internalize accounting
Build and develop a high-performance finance function over time
About You
Strategic first: You see finance as a lever for growth, not just reporting
SaaS fluent: You deeply understand recurring revenue models and unit economics
Operator at heart: You build clean systems that create clarity and control
Hands-on: You move seamlessly between detailed modeling and board-level discussions
Capital allocator: You think rigorously about ROI and tradeoffs
Low ego, high ownership: You want to build something enduring
Qualifications
6–12 years of experience in finance, FP&A, corporate finance, investing, or corporate development
Operating experience at a high-growth, venture-backed B2B SaaS company (Series A–C preferred)
Prior investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience highly preferred
Strong financial modeling and forecasting skills
Deep understanding of SaaS metrics and capital strategy
Experience preparing board materials and supporting fundraising
Experience managing external accounting firms or finance vendors
