We are headquartered in San Francisco, and this role will be in-person with the rest of the Nexus team.
**AI Software Engineer, Full Stack**We’re looking for a full-stack engineer who loves building intelligent user experiences. You'll help bridge powerful AI models with elegant frontends and robust backends. You’ll work across the stack to ship features that bring our AI capabilities to life.
Responsibilities
Design and implement UIs that integrate AI outputs (chat, search, workflows, etc.).
Build scalable APIs to serve model inference, analytics, and session management.
Collaborate with AI researchers to prototype and deploy interactive applications.
Maintain best practices for code quality, testing, and CI/CD.
Requirements
Proficient in React (or similar frontend frameworks) and modern UI patterns.
Backend experience with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, or equivalent.
Familiar with cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, Docker, k8s).
Comfortable integrating LLMs or AI APIs into user-facing features.
Bonus Points
Experience building AI-native interfaces (e.g., chat, autocomplete, interactive agents).
Design sensibility and ability to iterate quickly on prototypes.
Knowledge of WebSockets, streaming UIs, or latency-sensitive interfaces.
