Sales Manager

As the S****ales Manager, you will:

1.Sales Pipeline & Funnel Management

  • Develop, maintain, and manage a minimum 3X qualified sales funnel aligned with vendor-assigned revenue targets, including Gurukul and FireMon solutions.

  • Conduct fortnightly pipeline review meetings with the respective vendor teams to track progress, identify risks, and drive closures.

  • Ensure all deal registrations for Gurukul and FireMon opportunities, along with CRM updates, are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.

2. Lead Management & Customer Engagement

  • Qualify leads generated through cold calling, inbound inquiries, marketing campaigns, and partner referrals.

  • Drive independent positioning and presentation of Gurukul training programs and FireMon security solutions—engaging C-level executives or technical pre-sales teams when required, particularly for strategic or complex accounts.

3. Proposal & Solutioning Support

  • Prepare or supervise the development of quotations and commercial proposals, ensuring accurate scoping of Gurukul and FireMon offerings.

  • Coordinate and qualify Proof of Concepts (POCs), demo environments, and pre-sales engagements in collaboration with vendor and technical teams.

4. POC Management

  • Define clear POC objectives aligned with customer business and security outcomes, particularly for FireMon implementations.

  • Ensure adherence to the standard two-week demo/loan period unless otherwise approved by the vendor.

  • Track, manage, and report demo unit utilization and POC status on a monthly basis.

5. Partner & Vendor Management

  • Manage and engage key stakeholders across assigned lines of business, including Gurukul and FireMon vendor representatives.

  • Identify, enable, and develop Focus Partners to drive pipeline growth and revenue contribution for both solutions.

  • Conduct partner update sessions, enablement workshops, and periodic training programs.

6. Marketing Collaboration

  • Define measurable objectives for marketing investments related to Gurukul and FireMon initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with internal marketing teams and partners to execute campaigns, webinars, certification drives, and demand-generation programs.

7. Certifications & Compliance

  • Attain and maintain required vendor sales certifications for Gurukul and FireMon.

  • Ensure strict compliance with vendor governance policies, reporting standards, and deal registration guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE | About you

The ideal Sales Manager

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, sales coordination, or sales support roles within the IT/technology sector.

  • Exposure to or working knowledge of Gurukul and FireMon is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with effective cross-functional coordination abilities.

  • Fundamental understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM systems.

  • Demonstrated discipline in follow-ups, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting functions; familiarity with ERP systems is preferred.

  • Ability to generate and interpret sales reports, including pipeline/funnel analysis, inventory tracking, receivables/overdues monitoring, and performance dashboards.
