Summer Associate (Legal)

Barstool Sports is seeking a Summer Associate (Legal) to support its in-house legal team. This role offers hands-on exposure to legal matters across a fast-paced digital media and sports entertainment company. The intern will assist with legal research, contract review, and day-to-day legal operations related to content, partnerships, intellectual property, and marketing initiatives. This internship runs from May 26 to July 31 and will be based out of the New York City office on a hybrid schedule.

What You’ll Do:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on topics including intellectual property, media law, advertising and marketing regulations, and emerging digital content issues.
• Support the legal team with rights clearance and intellectual property matters related to the company’s content and commerce operations.
• Help maintain and organize contract templates, legal documentation, and internal resources.
• Assist with compliance reviews for marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
• Provide general support on day-to-day legal projects and administrative matters within the legal department.
• Explore opportunities to leverage the company’s enterprise AI tools in legal and R&C workflows

What You Have:

• Rising 2L or 3L law student at an accredited law school
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Interest in media, entertainment, and intellectual property law.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Pay Rate: $17.00/hr
