Job Description
The Senior Manager – eCommerce Marketplaces will lead growth and performance strategies for marketplace operations across Amazon, quick commerce, and various online marketplaces for different client brands. This role emphasizes achieving business objectives through strategic planning, campaign optimization, and effective stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to create scalable marketplace strategies, utilize data-driven insights, and ensure operational excellence throughout campaigns and processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete client portfolio across Amazon, quick commerce platforms, and various other marketplaces while spearheading strategy and achieving business objectives.
- Formulate and implement growth strategies for prominent and rapidly expanding brands within the marketplace ecosystem.
- Perform research in the industry and specific categories to develop strong insights and business context for clients.
- Guide the team in the implementation and enhancement of campaigns across Amazon ad formats, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display Ads.
- Facilitate experimentation, automation, and ongoing optimization to enhance campaign performance and efficiency.
- Promote process excellence within the team by creating scalable workflows and establishing operational best practices.
- Support new business development by crafting marketplace strategies and solutions tailored for prospective clients.
- Seek out opportunities to streamline processes through automation, improved reporting, and increased operational efficiencies.
- Keep abreast of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in the Amazon and eCommerce landscape and integrate these insights into client strategies.
- Collaborate with paid media and marketing teams to create cohesive digital marketing strategies for clients.
Skills Required
- Extensive knowledge in marketplace marketing, particularly in Amazon advertising and eCommerce platforms.
- Ability to think strategically and develop scalable growth plans for brands.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data effectively and optimize campaign results.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and client relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficient in leadership and team management.
- Adept at driving process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of D2C and eCommerce trends and the dynamics of the ecosystem.
- Capable of working independently and succeeding in a fast-paced startup setting.
Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in managing campaigns and strategies across marketplaces.
- Proven track record of working with Amazon and other eCommerce platforms.
- Experience in leading marketplace growth strategies for brands.
- Demonstrated success in managing multiple client accounts and achieving measurable business results.
Previous experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced environment is preferred.
