Financial Operations Analyst (Order Management)

HackerOne is looking for an experienced Financial Operations Analyst to support our rapid growth. This person will support various aspects of financial operations including invoicing, collections, contract review and bookings for both US and International customers.

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Financial Operations Analyst, you will support various aspects of the order-to-cash process including; reviewing customer orders, booking transactions in SalesForce, facilitating the billing and collections process for our global customer base, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence in everything you do. You will collaborate across Sales, Finance, and Operations to deliver a seamless order-to-cash experience that reflects our values of Customer Obsession, Default to Disclosure, and Win Together.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Support Order Management activities, including reviewing contracts and purchase orders to ensure compliance with our Booking Policies, and accuracy in our financial systems.

• Conduct final reviews of deals to ensure the completeness and accuracy of opportunities. This includes validating and updating Salesforce (SFDC) quote and order data against all contractual agreements, purchase orders (POs), approvals, and other supporting documentation.

• Partner with the sales and legal teams to understand the deal terms and ensure conformance with the company’s policies and process guidelines.

• Ensure accurate deal metrics are reported to help the company understand performance.

• Work with business users and cross-functional teams to identify problems, process gaps, and assist in ongoing process improvements related to order processing, deal closure, invoicing, and collections workflows.

• Ensure that deals are marked as 'closed-won' in SFDC and are ready for syncing to the Workday revenue tool, promptly resolving any related issues to enable invoicing in accordance with company policy.

• Support the invoicing and collections lifecycle across U.S. and international customers — ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.

• Act as a point of contact for customer and internal billing inquiries, maintaining a high standard of service and communication.

• Support daily payment posting and cash application.

• Prepare and reconcile trial balance accounts and post related journal entries during monthly close.

• Assist in executing an efficient and accurate monthly and quarterly financial close and reporting process.

• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to reconcile data, resolve discrepancies, and improve process efficiency.

• Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

• Support audits, reporting, and ad hoc finance projects with accurate and timely documentation.

• Demonstrate Change Agility by adapting to evolving systems, processes, and compliance requirements.

• Use First Principles Problem Solving to simplify complex workflows and enhance billing scalability.

• Adopt an AI-First mindset to help shape automation efforts using AI to increase accuracy and reduce manual effort.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• A self-starter who is motivated and passionate enough to do whatever it takes to accomplish the job

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Accounting

• 3+ years of billing experience

• Experience at SaaS companies preferred

• Strong Excel skills (V-LOOKUP, pivot tables)

• Demonstrate excellent customer service skill, both verbal and written

• Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations

• Experience working in multiple currencies, and understanding of foreign exchange rates

• Understanding and application of GAAP principles

• Having worked with well known sales and customer procurement systems (SalesForce, Coupa, Ariba etc.)

• Workday experience a plus

• Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks

• Ability and desire to work in fast-paced startup environment

• Excellent time management skills

• Flexible, proactive, responsible and detail-oriented individual.

• The position will be in our Pune, India office, and will work EST hours.
