Senior AV Engineer
Senior AV Engineer needed to configure and maintain video conferencing systems, develop standards, and troubleshoot AV issues.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior AV Engineer to join our team in configuring and provisioning video conferencing (VC) endpoints and AV devices to ensure fully functional VC systems.
You Will
- Serve as the point of contact for AV Engineering in office deployment, move, add, change, and decommissioning projects.
- Configure, operate, and maintain AV equipment and associated solutions to ensure fully functioning VC systems.
- Define, develop, and implement standards, policies, processes, and procedures for audio-video services and conference systems, streamlining AV operations.
- Utilize QSYS, Google Meet, and Crestron systems to optimize and support AV solutions.
- Develop global standards for AV deployment, document operating procedures, issues, resolutions, and deployment guides, and design, code, test, and troubleshoot technology and configurations in conference rooms and custom AV deployment spaces.
- Develop testing processes to ensure AV changes/upgrades do not negatively impact key business use cases or user experience.
- Manage conferencing solutions, such as Google Meet, and provide expertise in telephony systems, conference room architecture, video/audio/web conferencing, and streaming.
- Train L1 and L2 AV Ops teams, serve as the last line of defense for AV support, and collaborate with IT and Workplace/D&C teams to execute office build-outs and ensure alignment with standards, processes, and procedures.
- Consider user feedback to improve AV services and enhance user experience.
- Design AV solutions, including creating detailed schematics, AV flow diagrams, infrastructure drawings, equipment layouts, and system diagrams.
You Have
- 5 years of experience in audiovisual technology, unified communications, or information technology, with proficiency in audiovisual technologies, including an understanding of audio/video signal flow, AV equipment functionality, AV/IT control systems, and industry standards.
- Familiarity with AV integration principles, including system design, installation, and troubleshooting, and strong technical skills in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining AV systems and equipment.
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols relevant to AV systems, such as IP addressing, VLANs, and streaming protocols.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, as well as audio, video, and control systems, and architectural and cabling requirements.
- Experience managing all phases of AV projects, from scope and budget to planning, design, installation, testing, and final walkthrough.
- Strong creativity and problem-solving abilities to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
- Analytical skills to assess AV requirements, evaluate technical solutions, and present technical concepts to diverse audiences in clear and business-friendly terms..
- Strong organizational skills, including task prioritization and project management in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster positive working relationships and develop collaborative working relationships within a diverse team environment.
