Integration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust integration solutions that enable seamless communication between systems, applications, and external services. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong technical background in system integration, APIs, and middleware, who are passionate about building scalable and efficient data exchange frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement end-to-end integration solutions across diverse platforms, including cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Build and maintain APIs (REST/SOAP) and ensure secure, reliable, and high-performance data exchange.
  • Work with middleware and integration platforms to connect enterprise applications such as CRM, ERP, and third-party services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and business stakeholders to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop data transformation and mapping logic using tools such as JSON, XML, XSLT, or similar technologies.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Monitor integration workflows, logs, and performance metrics, proactively identifying and fixing potential issues.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in API security, versioning, documentation, and governance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain technical documentation for integration processes, APIs, and system architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–8 years of experience in system integration, API development, or middleware engineering.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns, protocols, and architectures (REST, SOAP, Webhooks, Microservices).
  • Hands-on experience with integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, or similar tools.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
  • Experience with data formats and transformation techniques (JSON, XML, CSV).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their integration services.
  • Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex integration issues.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise integration projects across multiple domains.
  • Exposure to API management tools and gateways.
  • Understanding of security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, and SSL/TLS.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
