US Accountant
Affirm Data is on the lookout for a meticulous and experienced US Accountant to join our expanding finance team. This role primarily involves managing the financial records of multiple clients, ensuring compliance with US accounting standards, and providing insights into financial performance.
As a US Accountant, you will play a key role in the month-end closing process, prepare financial reports, and assist with tax compliance. Your expertise will help drive financial accuracy and support strategic decision-making.
This position is fully remote and requires a commitment to achieving excellence in financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with US GAAP
Process and review accounts payable and receivable
Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure financial integrity
Prepare monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements
Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes
Support tax preparation and compliance activities
Communicate regularly with clients to address any financial inquiries and discrepancies
Provide analytical insights regarding financial performance
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a US-based environment
Strong familiarity with US GAAP and tax regulations
Proficient in accounting software, especially QuickBooks Online (certification is a plus)
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate financial information effectively
Reliable internet connectivity to support remote work
Nice to Have
CPA or CMA certification
Experience with various accounting tools or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Xero)
Familiarity with managing financial records for multiple clients
