Job Summary

Seeking a  proactive Lab Technician to support our scientific team in conducting chemical experiments and research. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing materials, operating laboratory equipment, maintaining safety standards, and documenting experimental results. This role is critical to ensuring smooth and efficient lab operations in support of innovative chemical research and development.

​​Role and Responsibilities****​ 

Assist scientists in setting up and conducting chemical experiments.

Prepare chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to protocols.

Operate and maintain laboratory instruments (e.g., spectrometers, chromatographs, pH meters)

Analyze raw materials and products by utilizing lab equipment and instruments to confirm they meet company standards. 

Create and maintain records of testing and keep company’s database updated. 

Assist other departments by keeping track of reported issues and researching and solving associated issues. 

Participate in employee-led teams at the site. 

Adheres to policies and procedures established by hSolenis including wearing required PPE to ensure safety of employees, contractors, and other visitors.  

Performs other duties as designated by the supervisor for the operations of the site. 

Accountabilities

Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab environment.

Monitor inventory of chemicals and supplies; reorder as needed.

Calibrate and troubleshoot lab equipment regularly.

Determines project tasks related to laboratory experiments and customer trials ·

Is responsible for presenting data in an easy-to-understand format to peers. 

Actively participates in problem identification and process improvement.

Participates in testing of prototype formulations.

Maintain laboratory equipment and workspaces to insure a safe productive work environment · Takes action as required to deliver required outcome

Label and organize samples and reagents

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.

Dispose of hazardous waste according to regulatory guidelines.

Participate in safety training and audits

Qualifications:

Bachelor's / master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.

Prior experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.

Familiarity with standard lab equipment and chemical handling procedures.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Preferred Skills:

Basic knowledge of analytical techniques (e.g., titration, spectroscopy).

Experience with lab management software or data entry tools.

Good communication skills and ability to follow written protocols.
