How to use this tracker

Use the contact column for the person coordinating the process, and Next action for one concrete task. Record the next interview date rather than replacing your application date. Salary figures keep the posting's original currency and period; an hourly rate is not an annual salary. Blank pay cells mean the information was not available.

In Excel, the Tracker tab is for real applications. The Example tab is fictional, and Read me explains the layout. Pale yellow columns are for your updates; every cell is editable. The CSV includes a labelled example row to delete before you start.

Use this job application tracker in Google Sheets

  1. Download the Excel template above.
  2. Open Google Sheets and choose File → Import → Upload.
  3. Select the downloaded file and choose Create new spreadsheet. Formatting support may vary.
  4. Use the Tracker tab for your applications. Add your own jobs, or export a batch from Trawle in this same layout.

You can also import the CSV. It contains plain data, so formatting, dropdowns and the instruction tabs are not included.

A few useful details

Do I need a Trawle account?

No. Download templates and export search results without signing in. The file is yours to edit, copy and keep.

Can I add more jobs later?

Yes. Export the same layout again, import it into a new sheet, compare Trawle job ID and append only the new rows to your tracker. That keeps your existing statuses, dates and notes intact.

Does the spreadsheet update automatically?

No. Each download is a snapshot. Spreadsheet edits do not sync back to Trawle. Always check the original employer posting before applying.

What gets filled in when I export?

Available job details and links, plus current Trawle tracking statuses. Dates applied, deadlines, contacts and personal notes are left for you to enter. Missing salary information stays blank.
